Dr. Andrew Leys
BDS, DGDP RCS, DipRestDent RCS.Eng
Andrew joined Alma Dental in 1999 becoming Principal Dentist in 2002, and since then has made many improvements to the practice, with the aim of continuing it’s long history of providing personalised, high quality dental care to our patients.
Andrew is a member of The British Endodontic Society and the International Team of Implantology. His special interests are in root canal treatments (endodontics), restorative dentistry and restoring dental implants.
A keen runner (has competed in several marathons) Andrew also manages to fit in cycling, yoga and cooking with his children, “time management” is his middle name!

Dr Liselle Murphy – GDC number: 85811

Liselle joined the Alma Dental team in December 2013 bringing a wealth of knowledge and skills to the practice.
After qualifying from the University of Newcastle in 2005, Liselle worked as a community paediatric dental officer as well as in general practice; enabling her to develop an array of skills including treating very nervous patients.
Liselle has continued to acquire further qualifications and completed advanced restorative courses in several areas of dentistry including cosmetic dentistry and implant restoration.
She is always keen to learn new skills and is a lover of outdoor pursuits. Liselle enjoys running, cycling, rock climbing, surfing and snowboarding to name just a few!

Dr Lindsay Kirk

Lindsay qualified from Leeds University in 1988.
After a hospital based oral surgery job in Nottingham she moved into General Dental Practice and subsequently up to the North East with her husband. She has remained dedicated to providing good quality dental treatment to all her patients.
Lindsay also works at Newcastle Dental hospital as a speciality doctor and clinical trainer for the dental students in the Child Dental Health department.
She provides all aspects of dentistry and particularly enjoys treating children aiming to provide a caring and protective environment for her patients having developed skills and techniques to treat dental anxiety at all ages as well as keeping up to date with the latest restorative techniques.
Outside dentistry Lindsay is married with two grown up children now studying at university. She has just discovered Pilates and also enjoys cake decorating, cooking, skiing and walking (nothing too strenuous!)
